Les and Roberta Farnum, Home Instead Senior Care of Charlotte NC

We are Roberta and Les Farnum, owners of Home Instead Senior Care in Charlotte, NC. 

We have worked with seniors and their families for over 10 years and came into this business because of our own caregiving experience. 

When Les’ Mom, Eleanor, was in her early 80′s she was caring for her mother who was 100 years old.  They lived across the country in southern California.  When the caregiving duties become too stressful for her, Les tried to find respite help for his Mom. 

Unable to find someone, Les’ grandmother moved in with her son and his family in northern California. They were unable to care for her in their home.  Grandma landed in a nursing home and died 30 days later. 

Today Eleanor lives with Les and Roberta in their home in Charlotte, NC and is a Home Instead Senior Care client.  Our caregiving journey is personal.  We know first hand the stress, joys and frustrations that family members may experience as they navigate the different levels of senior care. 

While we have received much recognition for our leadership role in the senior care industry in Mecklenburg County, nothing compares to the thank you’s we receive from family members who are helped by our wonderful CAREGivers. They make life easier for family members and give their clients hope and promise for successful aging.
